We are thrilled to announce that we are bringing more girls’ fall hockey to the Greater Portland Area by starting a U18 Girls Fall Tier IV league in partnership with our friends at Casco Bay Hockey Association (CBHA).
We think this will be an excellent option for players that play a fall sport, don’t want the commitment level of a travel team, or are just looking to stay fresh for the high school season. The plan will be for Sunday only games. We will also explore if there is interest in a biweekly skills session run by fun coaches.
MGIHA will be creating a registration link to capture interest and potential CBHA ice needs. The registration for the fall 2024 season will be open on the CBHA website after July 4th. The expected tuition will be in the $400-$450 range and will include a jersey/socks.
This is a great move to help improve the development of girls hockey in Maine. It aligns with CBHA & MGIHA’s unrelenting commitment to supporting the advancement of women and girls in hockey. If you like Spring League, this league will be for you!!
